The book blurb is misleading。 Hero is attracted to her but unlike the earlier books he doesn't kidnap her or force her to do anything with him。 He is interested that a woman is the leader of her soldiers。 He helps her with her mission。In the earlier books this hero is constantly killed and he comes back to life。 That ability is never really explained。 But he can be killed permanently you just have to tear him to pieces。 SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILERWe get a few details about his father and the The book blurb is misleading。 Hero is attracted to her but unlike the earlier books he doesn't kidnap her or force her to do anything with him。 He is interested that a woman is the leader of her soldiers。 He helps her with her mission。In the earlier books this hero is constantly killed and he comes back to life。 That ability is never really explained。 But he can be killed permanently you just have to tear him to pieces。 SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILERWe get a few details about his father and the tanks that created the nagas as hero knows where they are （and some still have nagas in them but hero never woke them up）。 Hero doesn't know it but he is emitting Genesis 8 （a virus） every time he is around a human woman。 It attracts her and makes her capable of carrying his kids。 She gets pregnant but doesn't know it， and returns to her ship。 When she finds out she is pregnant she returns to the hero and his planet now that her mission is complete and she got her soldiers home。 Hero takes her to his home and they make friends with some of the other nagas and their women。 They agree to be allies and help each other and protect each other。 Hero isn't sure what he did but a Lurker box （old technology） woke up and started talking to him and he talked back。 They are not sure if he told the Lurkers anything important。 。。。more

4。5 starsI've been desperate for Zhaillax's story since he was introduced in Viper。 Dark， scarred， and possibly villainous （but most likely misunderstood） heroes are my catnip。 I was worried the story wouldn't live up to the hype in my own head for this story and its hero， but I never should have been worried！ Zhaillax was a complex and tragic hero， and Celeste was a perfect partner for him with her own complicated and tragic past。 As much as I love the romance， it's the backstory of post-apocal 4。5 starsI've been desperate for Zhaillax's story since he was introduced in Viper。 Dark， scarred， and possibly villainous （but most likely misunderstood） heroes are my catnip。 I was worried the story wouldn't live up to the hype in my own head for this story and its hero， but I never should have been worried！ Zhaillax was a complex and tragic hero， and Celeste was a perfect partner for him with her own complicated and tragic past。 As much as I love the romance， it's the backstory of post-apocalyptic Earth， the rise （and fall） of the nagas， and humans returning to their original "dead world" to find it's not quite dead after all that keeps bringing me back。 The reader gets to solve the mysteries right along-side the humans and nagas that are putting the pieces together， and each book brings new layers。 I can't wait to see what happens in the future in the series。 。。。more

4。5 stars 😍😍I absolutely loved this newest book in the Naga Brides series。 It had me on the edge of my seat the entire book， and the spice was absolutely perfect。 I love that Celeste is a total Bad B， and Zhalliax completely swept in and stole the spit of favorite Naga。 I can't get enough of this series and I cant wait for the next one。 4。5 stars 😍😍I absolutely loved this newest book in the Naga Brides series。 It had me on the edge of my seat the entire book， and the spice was absolutely perfect。 I love that Celeste is a total Bad B， and Zhalliax completely swept in and stole the spit of favorite Naga。 I can't get enough of this series and I cant wait for the next one。 。。。more
